The holidays are right around the corner, but you still have time to create the perfect holiday photo card!
Whether you are working with a professional photographer or having a family member or friend take them, try out these tips to get some amazing photos!

1. Take Lots Of Photos
You only need one good photo for a holiday photo card. I am notorious for keeping my finger on the shutter button for an extended period of time. Sometimes the perfect photo is captured ‘behind the scenes’. When everyone is relaxed and having a good time!

2. What To Wear For The Photos
Select a few coordinating colors and have everyone wear variations of that color palette. Also, think about the environment where you will be taking the photos and coordinate with that color scheme.

3. Lighting Is Important
Lighting is a key factor in creating a successful image. If you are taking your photographs outside, the best time of day is 20-30 minutes before sunset. The ‘golden hour’ light is redder and softer than when the sun is higher in the sky. The sun in the middle day can be too bright, and may create squinting and shadows.

4. Remember To Have Fun
Remember to have fun with your family! If you are too worried about getting the ‘perfect’ shot, you will miss out on the experience of being with the people you love. Let the children and pets play. You are creating memories that will last a lifetime.

5. Select Your Holiday Photo Card Design
Now it’s time to select the holiday photo card design!
As a Minted artist, I think their platform is completely user-friendly. All you need to do is upload your photo and begin selecting designs. There are so many different design styles, greetings, multiple color combinations, multiple foil-pressed colors, four Silhouette™ Shapes, flat or folded cards, and five paper stocks. Minted also offers free recipient addressing. You can customize your holiday photo card to be exactly what you want it to be!
Minted makes the entire process so easy!
Wishing you peace, love, and joy this holiday season!
